Myofascial Therapies

Soft-tissue therapies designed to complement chiropractic care and support mobility and muscle function. Available modalities include dry needling, cupping, and electrical stimulation.

Dry Needling

Targeted needling of specific muscles and trigger points to help address areas of muscle tension and discomfort.

Conditions Treated: Muscle knots and trigger points, chronic tension, areas of restricted movement tied to tight muscles.

What to Expect: Dr. Martin inserts thin, sterile needles into specific trigger points to help release tension at its source. Most patients feel a brief muscle twitch or ache followed by a noticeable release. It's often paired with adjustments to address both joint and soft-tissue concerns together.

Cupping

A suction-based therapy that addresses muscle tension and supports mobility.

Conditions Treated: Muscle tightness, restricted mobility, tension tied to overuse or poor posture.

What to Expect: Cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction, drawing blood flow to the area and helping release tight tissue. It's a relaxing addition to treatment and may leave temporary, painless marks that fade within a few days.

E-Stim

Gentle electrical stimulation used to help relax targeted muscles and complement other treatment techniques.

Conditions Treated: Muscle tension and spasm, areas needing relaxation before or after an adjustment.

What to Expect: Small electrode pads are placed on the skin near the area of concern, delivering a gentle, pulsing sensation that helps relax the muscle. Most patients find it comfortable — even soothing — and it's typically used alongside other treatments during the same visit.
