BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION
BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION

Amberstone Chiropractic was created with families in mind. Whether you're bringing in your child, a grandparent, or yourself after a long week, you'll be treated as an individual — not a number. Here's what to expect as a new patient, and answers to a few common questions before your first visit.
Your First Visit
Your first visit starts with a conversation. You'll sit down for a complimentary consultation with Dr. Martin to talk through your concerns, health history, and goals for care — no rushing, no assumptions.
From there, we get a clear picture. If clinically appropriate, Dr. Martin will perform an exam and, when needed, on-site X-rays to evaluate your spine or area of concern. Not every patient needs imaging — it's used only when it will genuinely help guide your care, so you're never guessing about what's going on.
You may receive treatment the same day. If Dr. Martin determines that care is appropriate and safe, your first adjustment can happen during that same visit. Plan for your initial appointment to run about 30–45 minutes.
Your plan is explained, not just handed to you. At your follow-up visit, Dr. Martin will walk you through his findings, any imaging, and the course of care he recommends — and why. How often you'll come in from there depends on your condition, goals, and how you respond to treatment; there's no one-size-fits-all schedule, and you'll understand the reasoning behind your plan rather than just being placed on one.

FAQs
FAQs
A few things you might be wondering.
Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?
Yes. Chiropractic care is a safe and effective option for many women during pregnancy when performed by a properly trained and licensed chiropractor. At Amberstone Chiropractic, care is adapted throughout pregnancy based on the patient's comfort, stage of pregnancy, health history, and clinical needs. Dr. Martin utilizes pregnancy-specific techniques, including the Webster Technique, when appropriate, and uses positioning and equipment designed to help keep mom comfortable during care.
Is chiropractic care safe for babies and children?
When appropriately performed by a trained and licensed provider, pediatric chiropractic care uses age-appropriate techniques and very gentle pressure. Care for infants and children is different from care for adults and is adapted to their age, size, development, and individual needs. At Amberstone Chiropractic, every child is evaluated individually, and we work with parents to determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate. We also believe in coordinating with a child's pediatrician or other healthcare providers when necessary.
What conditions do you treat?
Chiropractic care at Amberstone focuses primarily on conditions involving the musculoskeletal system and nervous system, with an emphasis on helping patients move and function better. Patients commonly seek care for concerns such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint pain, sports-related injuries, hip pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, numbness and tingling along with other musculoskeletal complaints. Every patient is evaluated individually to determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate for their particular condition. If we believe another type of care would be more appropriate, we will help guide you in the right direction.
Do you accept insurance?
We work with patients who have insurance and can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Because insurance plans vary widely in their coverage, deductibles, copays, and out-of-network benefits, we recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your specific benefits. Our goal is to make care as straightforward and affordable as possible. We are happy to discuss your options and explain the cost of recommended services before care is provided.
How much does chiropractic care cost?
We believe healthcare costs should be transparent and easy to understand. While we do not list our pricing online, we will clearly explain the cost of your visit and any recommended services before they are provided. If you have questions about cost, insurance benefits, or payment options, our team is happy to discuss them with you before you begin care. After your examination and evaluation, Dr. Martin will discuss what he recommends and why. We want you to understand your care rather than simply being placed on a predetermined schedule.
Do I need a refferal?
No. You do not need a referral to schedule an appointment at Amberstone Chiropractic. We are also happy to communicate and coordinate care with your primary care provider, specialist, physical therapist, or other healthcare professional when appropriate.
